Therefore, we have outlined detailed guidelines below to help you fully understand our cancellation and refund process before booking any appliance repair service. We encourage you to read this policy carefully so that you are aware of your rights and our responsibilities.
1. Service Cancellation
You can cancel a booked service by informing us in advance via phone or message. If you cancel before we assign or dispatch a technician, we will not apply any charges whatsoever. However, if a technician has already visited your location, an inspection or visiting charge may apply to cover the cost of travel and time. We always recommend cancelling as early as possible to avoid unnecessary fees. Our team is available to assist you with cancellations quickly and without any hassle.
2. Our Appliance Repair Refund Policy Explained
We offer refunds only in specific cases, depending on the current status of the service. For instance, if you cancel before we begin the actual repair work and you have already made a payment, we will process the refundable amount after deducting any applicable inspection charges. Please note that once our technician completes the repair work, we will not issue any refunds. This is because the service has been fully delivered at that point. Therefore, we encourage customers to raise any concerns before the repair begins.
3. Spare Parts & Repairs
Payments made for spare parts are non-refundable once we install the parts or order them specifically for your appliance. This is because spare parts are sourced exclusively for your device and cannot be returned to suppliers. Additionally, if you face any service warranty-related issues after the repair, we will inspect and rectify the problem as per our warranty terms rather than issuing a refund. Our goal is to ensure your appliance works perfectly, and consequently, we take all warranty concerns very seriously.
4. Service Delays or Unavailability
We understand that delays can be frustrating. If Smart Care India is unable to provide the service due to technical or operational reasons on our end, we will refund any advance payment you have made in full. Furthermore, we will process refunds through the original payment method whenever possible. In cases where the original payment method is unavailable, we will coordinate with you directly to find the best alternative. 5. Refund Processing Time
Once we approve your refund request, we will process it within 5–7 working days, depending on your payment method and bank processing times. For example, UPI and wallet payments may reflect sooner, while bank transfers or card refunds may take the full 7 working days. If you do not receive your refund within this timeframe, please contact us immediately so that we can investigate and resolve the issue promptly. As a consumer, you can also learn about your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
We want to be fully transparent about situations where we are unable to issue refunds. Therefore, please note that refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
- Incorrect problem details provided by the customer at the time of booking
- Pre-existing or unrelated appliance issues not covered under the current service
- Customer unavailability during the scheduled service appointment
- Physical damage, misuse, or electrical issues that are beyond the scope of repair
We strongly recommend providing accurate appliance details and being available during the scheduled visit to avoid any of the above situations.
