What These Appliance Repair Terms Cover
These terms apply to all services we provide, including home visits, inspections, repairs, and spare part replacements. Whether you are booking for the first time or are a returning customer, these conditions apply equally to everyone. In short, they exist to protect both you and us throughout the entire repair process.
1. Service Scope
Smart Care India provides repair and maintenance services for household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, microwave ovens, water purifiers, and televisions. However, we provide all services based on inspection and technical feasibility. Therefore, we recommend describing your appliance issue as accurately as possible at the time of booking.
2. Inspection & Diagnosis
We may apply an inspection or visiting charge depending on the appliance and the nature of the issue. After inspection, our technician will communicate the final repair cost clearly before proceeding. Additionally, we always seek your approval before we begin any repair work, so you remain in full control of the decision.
Pricing, Payments & Spare Parts
3. Pricing & Payments
We discuss all prices openly before we begin any repair work. However, costs may vary depending on the appliance condition, spare parts needed, and the complexity of the repair. Furthermore, customers must make payments upon service completion unless both parties have agreed otherwise in advance.
4. Spare Parts
We use genuine or high-quality compatible spare parts for all repairs. We charge the cost of spare parts separately unless we have mentioned otherwise. Moreover, availability of spare parts depends on the brand and model of your appliance. Therefore, we will inform you in advance if a part requires additional sourcing time.
Warranty & Customer Responsibilities Under Our Appliance Repair Terms
5. Service Warranty
We provide a limited service warranty on selected repairs and spare parts. However, the warranty does not cover physical damage, misuse, voltage fluctuations, water damage, or any unauthorized repairs carried out after our service. Our technician will explain the specific warranty terms at the time of service so that you know exactly what we cover.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and efficient service, customers must provide correct and complete information about the appliance issue. Additionally, you should ensure easy access to the appliance during the scheduled visit. Please note that Smart Care India is not responsible for delays caused by customer unavailability or inaccurate details provided at the time of booking.
7. Cancellations
You can cancel a service booking by informing us in advance via phone or message. However, if our technician has already been assigned or has visited your location, inspection charges may apply. For further details, please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Liability
Smart Care India is not responsible for pre-existing faults, general wear and tear, or issues unrelated to the problem you reported. Furthermore, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from appliance breakdowns. As a customer, you can also learn about your legal rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
9. Independent Service Provider
Smart Care India operates as an independent appliance repair service provider. Consequently, we are not an authorized service center for any brand unless we explicitly state otherwise at the time of booking.
10. Changes to These Appliance Repair Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these appliance repair terms at any time. Therefore, we recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay updated on any changes. Continued use of our services after any update means you accept the revised conditions.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions follow the laws applicable in India. Additionally, any disputes arising from these terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in Hubli, Karnataka. For general legal reference, you may visit the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
